Beginning again.
Isn’t that the great thing about God? Every day, every second of every day, we get
to begin again.
This is where I found
myself yesterday when I picked up my journal which I hadn’t touched in 4
months.
Seems my life had taken, yet, another turn I wasn’t expecting...
But isn’t
it that way for all of us.
But, again, we can just start over—we can begin again.
So with that thought in my mind, I thought
what better place to start than at the beginning—
Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning
God created the heavens and the earth.”
What a grand thought! “In the beginning God….”
Yes, He is still here, always here, in our beginnings
and not only is He here, but He is creating!
When my plans, my life, seem to have
totally moved in a different direction,
and I find myself feeling as if I’m
starting all over again,
God is in the
midst of it all creating!
This
thought led me to yet another thought in Hebrews 11:3,
“By faith we understand
that the worlds were framed by the word of God,
so that what we see was not
made out of things which are visible.”
How often do we not see?
How
often are the plans not visible?
And yet
God is in there creating—framing.
I like what the Amplified Bible’s amplified version of the word “framed”
says—
“fashioned, put in order, and
equipped for their intended purpose.”
Wow!
What comfort!
To know that as I continue to put my faith in God, despite the unexpected
turn in my life,
or the feelings of not knowing where, or how, or what I am
doing or going to do next,
God is in there.
He is fashioning, putting in order, and equipping me and my situation
for the “intended purpose.”
So, all I
have to do is yield again to the Master of Creating—the Master of Framing—the Master
who puts all things in order and equips me with intentional purpose...
I’m not adrift. I’m not amiss.
I’m right back in the beginning,
with my God,
Who creates and frames all things in
my life!
